Rethink the countryside
Hinterlands Rural Film Festival celebrates the richness and variety of rural film in the heart of the Lakes and Dales, taking place in the historic market town Skipton in Yorkshire. Hinterlands is produced by Wild Rumpus.
Wild Rumpus
Wild Rumpus exist in a space where arts and culture meet the natural environment. Working from the Whirligig, four acres of woodland in Cheshire, we create experiences which inspire curiosity and design events that immerse audiences in incredible stories and moments of wonder.
Alongside producing large-scale events, Wild Rumpus run an extensive volunteer and talent development programme working with performers, producers and programmers to shape a cultural environment where excellent outdoor work thrives.
Hinterlands Film Festival takes place in Skipton from the 13-15 May 2022. The festival’s Artistic Director Geoff Bird is a producer for BBC Radio, making cultural documentaries including Film in the North of England and Cast & Crew about the film industry.
